Following on from the success of our awards evening in 2014, we had to book a larger hall to accomodate all the winners and the people who wanted to show their support. Amazing evening! Present were Deputy Lord Mayor, MP Roger Godsiff, Councillors, faith leaders, Michael Smith from Word4Weapons. Big thank you to Shezada Shahid for hosting the event. He did a fantastic job!
Big well done to our youth volunteers, Kashif Haider and from Farm Park Residents Association. They fully deserve this award for all their work.
A wonderful volunteer Charles Le Page who has been very helpful with our projects especially Street Watch. This award was well deserved and we wish Chalres all the best on his new venture.
On 24th February 2014, SRRA held it's first awards ceremony for all the wonderful volunteers. We had many people attended as well as Inspector Rachel Crump. It was great to see the kids receiving their awards. We also provided food for the community afterwards. We will let the pictures do the talking!
Presented by Sargeant Scott Taylor, and signed by Superintendant Alex Murray, SRRA received an award for their work in reducing crime and calming the community during a period of high tension.
Three of the volunteers in the community of Sparkbrook including our very own Javed Khan were recognised for their achievements in working with the CSV charity organisation, by the Queen. Suited and booted, they went down to Buckingham Palace. Also pictured is Margarent Banahan who has been instrumental with CSV. Well done all.
Sampson Road Residents Association was formed in 2010. And we have never looked back! We work with the Councillors, Police, faith groups and many others in an effort to make a difference.
